About

Welcome Week 2017 is a series of exciting events designed to welcome you (back) to campus and remind you why you chose to become a Spider.

What is Welcome Week?

Welcome Week is a two week University-wide initiative designed remind you why you chose to become a Spider. Whether you are a new or returning Spider, Welcome Week will provide you with the opportunity to engage in many of the University’s involvement opportunities, meet new people, and show off that Spider Pride!

What are the goals of Welcome Week?

Welcome Week has three goals:

  1. Provide opportunities for new and returning students to get involved and connected to campus life
  2. Foster a sense of community on campus
  3. Foster a sense of pride around being a Spider
How do I submit a program for Welcome Week?

Student organizations and campus departments can submit program proposals through May 1, 2017. Programs submitted for Welcome Week must accomplish one or more of the Welcome Week goals.
