Kappa Alpha Order

Eta Chapter
Founded:  1870

Kappa Alpha Order prides itself on upholding the virtues of the gentleman. Kappa Alpha was founded in 1865 at Washington and Lee. The Eta chapter was founded at the University of Richmond in 1870 and was the first national fraternity established at Richmond College.

Members of Kappa Alpha seek to live by the seven virtues of our spiritual founder Robert E. Lee: sincerity, moral strength, dignity, humbleness, courtesy, sympathy, and religious fervor. Brothers of the Eta chapter pride themselves on making positive contributions in the community, the classroom, and everywhere in between.
