Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Rho Rho Chapter
Chartered:  1992

Rho Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in 1992, making it the first Black Greek Sorority to be chartered on University of Richmond campus. The women of Delta Sigma Theta are dedicated to empowering the community while also maintaining high academic and moral standards through the bonds of an unbreakable sisterhood. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization (founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University) based on the founding principles of service, scholarship, and sisterhood.

Delta Sigma Theta's purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities and throughout the world. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's five-point thrust of: economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, political awareness and involvement, and physical and mental health. Throughout the year, all chapters of Delta Sigma Theta put on extracurricular and informative programs and social events that coincide with each of the five thrusts, making a substantial impact on the surrounding community and setting a positive example.
