Student Organization Leadership Center

The Student Organization Leadership Center, more commonly referred to by its location 340, is a resource space for recognized student organizations on campus. The space provides student organizations with:

  • Meeting and programming spaces to hold meetings and work on organization projects
  • organizational mailboxes*
  • lockers for organization materials and supplies**
  • computers with printing access for meeting agendas and programs

Meeting Spaces

Conference Room - 340A

340 offers a conference room holding up to 6 with a whiteboard and a TV with HDMI hookups. Student organizations can reserve this room by using the Standard Event Request Form. Select Tyler Haynes Commons from the Facilities dropdown and then Student Organization Small Conference Room 340A.

Large Meeting Space - 340

340 has several meeting spaces in an open area. These spaces range from louge areas for meetings of 4–5 people to table spaces for 12-15 people each. Currently, the space in its entirety is reservable through the Standard Event Request Form Monday - Friday after 4pm and during all operating hours on the weekends. Please note that students doing organizational business have priority. Room sets are not available for 340; if furniture is re-arranged to meet your reservation needs, you must return the space to the original set-up.

Mailboxes*

All registered student orgs are granted mailboxes in the Student Organization Leadership Center with the exception of Sport Clubs and Religous/Spirtiual Groups. Sport Club mailboxes are in the Sports Club Center in Recreation & Wellness. Mailboxes for Religious/Spiritual Groups are located in the Wilton Center.

Lockers**

Any recognized student organizations in good standing may apply for a locker through by completing an application during the spring semester. Applications for 2016–17 locker applications are due Monday, April 4, 2016, by 11:59 p.m. Please note:

  • Only recognized student organizations are eligible to apply for lockers.
  • Organizations may only be assigned one locker.  
  • Locker assignments will be valid for approximately one academic calendar year (August through May). 
  • All student organizations must reapply annually for a locker.

Waiting List
In the event that demand for lockers exceeds supply, student organizations that are eligible for a locker but not assigned a locker will be placed on a waiting list. If a locker becomes available during the year, organizations on the list will be offered these spaces in the order that the locker was awarded. 

Computers and Printing

340 has two computers that student organizations can use to print agendas or other work related to their organization. Documents that are printed in 340 may be picked up from the Center for Student Involvement service desk.
