SpiderBoard is our student-led programming board bringing top-tier programming, large and small, to the University of Richmond community! Each semester, SpiderBoard hosts diverse and inclusive programming, concerts, movie nights, trivia, performers, and more!

SpiderBoard is comprised of 25 general board members who serve on one of three committees led by five executive board members. These are paid positions that students apply for each spring semester.

Any student interested in joining SpiderBoard can attend a general board meeting and get involved as volunteer! SpiderBoard is also always looking for new and fun event ideas!

Major Events

The Major Events committee sponsors several campus-wide programs and events each semester. These include annual traditions, as well as comedians, musical acts, and other exciting programs! Annual traditions, sponsored by SpiderBoard, include:

  • Spider Drop (concert before the first day of classes)
  • Trucks and Tunes (tailgate party before the first home football game)
  • Homecoming Street Festival
  • Spring Fling
  • Last Day of Classes Concert

SpiderNights

SpiderNights is a series of events and programs that occur on Friday or Saturday nights throughout the fall and spring semesters. Activities range from carnival nights to grocery bingo, cake decorating competitions, campus-wide scavenger hunts, canvas paint nights, and craft-making. There is always food, sometimes prizes, and a great way to meet people who like to do what you do.
